CAMERON — Halloween is almost here, and the Cameron Community Voice has a treat that won't rot anybody's teeth: a free, two-page printable Kids Fun Page, made right here for Cameron kids.
Page one is a coloring sheet starring a very familiar building — the Milam County Courthouse, dressed up for Halloween with jack-o'-lanterns on its steps, smiling bats overhead, a kitty on the lawn, and one very friendly ghost wearing a football jersey. (Around here, even the ghosts have team spirit.)
Page two is the games page: a Halloween word search with hometown words hiding in it — see if your kids can find CAMERON, MILAM, and YOEMEN among the ghosts and pumpkins — plus a mini crossword and a maze, where the same friendly ghost needs help winding his way to the candy.
Both pages print on regular letter paper, black and white, so all they need is a printer and some crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Print one for the fridge, print a stack for the classroom or the Halloween party — they're free, and they're yours.
And when your artists finish, we want to see their work. Snap a photo of the completed coloring page and send it to cameroncommunityvoice@gmail.com, and we'll feature a gallery of Cameron's Halloween artists in the Voice after the holiday. First names only, please, and tell us the artist's age if you'd like it included.
Happy Halloween, Cameron — from all of us at the Voice. Stay safe out there on Saturday night: carry a flashlight, stay with your grown-ups, and save us a piece of candy.
The Kids Fun Page is a free printable from the Cameron Community Voice. Print as many copies as you like for home, classroom, church, or party use.
