On July 4th, downtown Cameron will come alive with a special "America 250 Celebration" from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Cameron, TX - Get ready to mark a historic milestone as our community joins the nation in celebrating 250 years of American independence! On July 4th, downtown Cameron will come alive with a special "America 250 Celebration" from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
This family-friendly event promises something for everyone to enjoy as we honor our nation's heritage:
- Fun for the Kids: The downtown area will feature plenty of activities, including bounce houses and games to keep the little ones entertained.
- Baby Crawl & Toddler Trot: Don’t miss the hilarious "Baby Crawl and Toddler Trot" contests, sponsored by State Farm Agent Julie Sulak and hosted by Milam County Judge Bill Whitmire. Registration begins at 6:00 PM onsite at the Milam County Courthouse South Side Lawn (102 S. Fannin), with the Baby Crawl starting at 7:00 PM and the Toddler Trot at 8:00 PM.
- Community Eats: Enjoy free hot dogs—generously donated by Legacy Nursing Home and Edward Jones—and delicious treats. Be sure to stop by and get your tickets on the 4th!
- Entertainment & More: Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy live music, browse local vendors, and take part in activities before the grand finale of fireworks.
Support a Good Cause
The Milam County Crime Stoppers is hosting their 2nd Annual "Most Wanted Pets" contest, with winners announced at 10:30 PM during the 250 Celebration. Registration fees and voting donations will go directly toward tackling crime in Milam County, so be sure to enter your furry, feathered, or exotic friends!
