The Cameron Animal Shelter has announced that Sam, a six-month-old Bird Dog and Collie mix, is officially available for foster-to-adopt. Described by shelter staff as a "very smart and very loving" companion, Sam is currently looking for a permanent home where he can put his friendly nature to good use.
According to the shelter, Sam is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. He has shown an exceptional temperament, getting along well with other dogs and showing no issues around cats. Perhaps most notably, Sam is described as being excellent with both children and adults.
A Candidate for Service
Because of his intelligence and affectionate personality, staff believe Sam is an ideal candidate for specialized training.
"He is perfect for training for an emotional support dog," noted the shelter’s announcement.
