CAMERON — Milam County 4-H is celebrating two exceptional graduating seniors who have been awarded prestigious Texas 4-H Foundation scholarships for 2026.
Hannah Bakken and Adison Dach were each recognized for their years of dedication, leadership, academic achievement, and excellence both inside and outside the 4-H program.
Bakken was awarded the $20,000 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship. Dach received the $20,000 San Antonio Livestock Exposition Scholarship.
These highly competitive scholarships are awarded to outstanding 4-H members across the state who demonstrate strong leadership skills, top-tier academic success, and a deep commitment to community service throughout their 4-H careers.
Through countless hours spent in the show ring, the classroom, volunteer projects, and leadership activities, both young women have represented Milam County with pride and integrity. Local 4-H leadership noted that these accomplishments reflect not only personal determination and hard work, but also the positive impact of the 4-H program on developing future leaders.
"These scholarships are a tremendous achievement and a testament to the dedication these young ladies have shown over the years," Milam County 4-H leaders said in a statement. "We are incredibly proud of Hannah and Adison and excited to see all they will accomplish in the future."
The Milam County Extension Office and the local 4-H family congratulate Bakken and Dach on this incredible accomplishment and wish them continued success as they begin their next chapters.
