Genealogical Society to Hear the Story of a 1920s Louisiana Murder Trial

ROCKDALE, TX — The Milam County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library in Rockdale.

This month's program features speaker John Pruett, who will give a presentation on the Ada LeBoeuf–Thomas Dreher murder trial, held in 1926 in Franklin, Louisiana — a sensational case from the 1920s that drew national attention.

Guests are always welcome at the society's meetings, and anyone with an interest in family history, Milam County heritage, or a good true-crime story from a century ago is invited to attend.
