C.H. Yoe High School Celebrates the Class of 2026 Top Ten Percent

CAMERON, TX — As the academic year draws to a close, C.H. Yoe High School is proud to announce the exceptional students who have earned their place in the Top Ten Percent of the Class of 2026. These eleven seniors have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to their studies, navigating a rigorous curriculum to emerge as the leading scholars of their graduating class.

Leading the pack are Brooklyn Wright, named the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, and Allie Henson, who earned the distinction of Salutatorian. Joining them in this elite group are Marbel Reducindo Saucedo, Emma Husher, Jasdan Llanas, Anne Shields, Adison Dach, Alexis Brunson, Merci Kistler, Kenley Harris, and Katrina Cardona.

A Legacy of Excellence

To achieve this ranking, these students met and exceeded the comprehensive graduation requirements set forth by Cameron ISD and the Texas Education Agency. While a standard Foundation High School Program requires 22 credits, students in the top tier typically pursue the Distinguished Level of Achievement, completing 26 credits that include:

  • Advanced Academics: Four credits each in English, Mathematics (including Algebra II), Science, and Social Studies.
  • Specialized Endorsements: Mastery in specific paths such as STEM, Business and Industry, or Public Services.
  • State Assessments: Successful completion of five STAAR End-of-Course exams in Algebra I, English I & II, Biology, and U.S. History.

Looking Toward the Future

The achievements of these "Yoemen" and "Lady Yoe" extend beyond the classroom. Under the Texas Top Ten Percent Rule, these graduates are now eligible for automatic admission to most public four-year universities and colleges in Texas. This milestone serves as a testament to their hard work and the support of the Cameron community.

As they prepare to cross the stage, these eleven seniors represent the bright future of Milam County. Their perseverance in meeting the state’s high standards for college and career readiness ensures they are well-equipped for the next chapter of their journeys.

Congratulations to the C.H. Yoe Class of 2026 Top Ten Percent!
