MILANO, Texas — The Board of Emergency Services Commissioners of Milam County Emergency Services District No. 1 has called a special public meeting for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM to deliberate on financial audits, major capital financing, the upcoming 2027 budget, and proposed property tax rate adjustments.

​The meeting will take place at the Milano Civic Center, located at 120 W. Ave E in Milano.

​Financial Oversight & Operations: Review and formal action on the District’s financial audit and its official filing with Milam County, alongside approval of previous board meeting minutes.

​Capital Infrastructure: Discussion and action regarding a Reimbursement Resolution from Government Capital financing designated for the construction project of the Cameron EMS Station.

​2027 Budget & Tax Planning: Consideration of a formal resolution adopting the 2027 fiscal year budget.
