Join Milam County 4-H: New Year, New System, New Adventures!

Enrollment for the 2026-2027 4-H year opens September 1!

Milam County, TX - Looking for leadership opportunities, new friends, hands-on learning, and a whole lot of fun? Milam County 4-H is the place to be. Whether you are interested in photography, animals, cooking, robotics, shooting sports, public speaking, or something completely different, there is a place for you in 4-H.

This year, joining 4-H is getting an exciting upgrade with a brand-new enrollment system.

New Year. New System. Same Great 4-H!

Beginning September 1, Texas 4-H is launching a new enrollment system designed to make the enrollment process easier, more family-friendly, and more convenient.

There is one important thing every 4-H family needs to know: Everyone must enroll again for the new 4-H year.

That means our Cloverbuds, Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors, and 4-H adults and volunteers will all need to complete enrollment in the new system, even if they were enrolled last year.

September 1 marks the starting line for another great year of 4-H adventures.

Who Can Join 4-H?

Everyone! 4-H is open to youth from kindergarten through high school graduation.

• Cloverbuds: Kindergarten through 2nd grade
• Juniors: Grades 3-5
• Intermediates: Grades 6-8
• Seniors: Grades 9-12

Adults and Volunteers: Adults who want to help make 4-H experiences possible

Cloverbuds are introduced to 4-H through fun, age-appropriate activities, while members in grades 3-12 can become involved in clubs, projects, contests, leadership opportunities, community service, and more.

Enrollment opens September 1. Signing up is easy. Visit www.join4h.com and select the “Join 4-H” link on the homepage.

Enrollment costs are:

• $25 per youth member, grades 3-12
• $10 per Cloverbud, grades K-2
• $10 per adult volunteer

More information and guidance about the new enrollment system will be shared by Milam County 4-H as enrollment gets closer.

Find Your 4-H Club

Milam County is home to five active 4-H clubs, so families can find a club that fits their interests or is conveniently located in their community.

Community clubs include Cameron 4-H Club, Gause 4-H Club, Rockdale 4-H Club, and Thorndale 4-H Club.

Milam County also offers Project 4-H Club, a shooting sports club. Youth participating in Project 4-H Club must also be enrolled in one of the Milam County community clubs.

Pick Your Project

One of the best parts of 4-H is choosing a project that gets you excited to learn and grow. Each member selects at least one project and gains hands-on experience that builds knowledge, confidence, and real-world skills.

From livestock and agriculture to photography, food and nutrition, leadership, public speaking, shooting sports, and many other areas, there is a 4-H project for just about everyone.

When choosing a project, consider the following:

• Pick a topic that excites you.
• Consider the time, cost, space, and equipment needed.
• Choose something that is fun, educational, and achievable.

Whether you have been part of 4-H for years or this is your first time hearing about it, September 1 is your opportunity to get involved.

A new enrollment system means a fresh start, but the heart of 4-H remains the same: friendships, projects, leadership, community service, learning, competition, and plenty of opportunities to try something new.
